• So you’d like to be a fashion designer. What kind of school do you go exactly?

Yes,I would like to be a fashion designer and I study at some kind of artistic secondary school.

• How does one of your usual day look like?

Usual day? I dont really have usual days, because, one day, we are sewing the whole day or organize some programs for the ball. Another day, I have normal subjects, next day we are drawing patterns or making it on the computer, another day , we have normal lessons plus some drawing fashion illustration or figure. Fridays are usually just about travelling,because I stay at a dorm. So I dont really know what it is supposed to be a ,,usual day". Really! Every day is different for me.

• You mentioned an organization of the ball. How often do you have ball?

This wasn’t like school ball. It was just like ball of our class, because I graduate this year.But we had school ball each year, until last year,then they cancelled it.

• How often do you have to come up with a „ready dress” ?

First two years, at sewing lessons we had to learn the basics, so we sewed skirts, trousers, then shirts and man shirts. But in the beggining of the third year, we had some collection, so our class were supposed to sew dresses for Trenčín´s Miss.They had five months for it, but I had to sew it in one, because I was in Denmark. Then we sewed some jackets, and this year we are sewing our author collection. We can choose between the topics of ,,etno" or ,,folk".

For final exams, we have one week to sew three models like our „final collection”  but we don’t know the topics yet, so I can’t tell you.

Every year there are final exams.We get some topic and we need to create something. Just to tell you my examprojects during the three years: it was a collar with a detail of some insect once, a baroque diadem, a pop- art bag and a dress, inspired by Alexander Mcqueen.

• That seems pretty much! Where can you get inspiration from?

You have topic, it reminds you something so you just use it.One topic can be taken in so many ways.But if you really don’t have any idea,you just browse it on the Internet. then its difficult to choose just one...it often happens that you have many ideas and you can’t choose one, so you make one by putting them together and than it looks horrible! So it’s better to keep with one, and play with it.You have to know how to treat it,work with it.Now it’s hard to find somthing that wasn’t used before, but there is still so many things!

Anyway,I don’t think we will run out of inspiration. Nobody will ever!

• Do you have a favourite fashion designer, who inspires you?

I don’t have any.I prefer my own opinion. I don’t want to be influenced by anybody, i want to do fashion on my own. But of course, there are many awesome designers.

• Did you always want to be a fashion designer? If you don’t, what would you be instead?

 It may sounds funny, but yes.I have been drawing since I was 4 years old.All the time! But I’ve never been fond of fashion the way like ,, Oooh! I want this brand, and that bag!”  I liked to create some new patterns, fabrics.
I found it out this year what I would be. I always wanted to be a sculptor.

• Do you have any plan what you’d like to do after finishing this school? For example open an own shop or study more?

Ohooo! Opening a shop would be awesome, but I don’t think it has any perspective in here. I would love to get to university to the Czech Republic. But it’s insanly difficult! Around fifty people want to get there and they take just two or three.If i dont get there, I will go for a year to England and maybe try to apply for school there. I’ll see what the future brings.
